I’ve always been a writer. As a kid, I documented life and my observations in diaries and scrapbooks. Later, when I moved away from home, those became lengthy emails to my two best friends from high school.

Today, I’m a wife, a mom, and a Christian. This website is a place for me to share what I’m learning about motherhood, family discipleship, and what it looks like to follow Jesus at home.

I have a background in fundraising and communications, with more than a decade of experience in the non-profit sector. I’ve worked with small and mid-sized organizations in areas including annual, special, and legacy giving.

I’ve also worked as a consultant with a boutique agency, providing fundraising and communications support to organizations with little or no fundraising staff of their own.

These days, I’m a stay-at-home mom to two elementary-aged children and a writer.

I didn’t grow up going to church. I became an atheist in high school. At university I studied hard and lived wild. 

Then I met a Christian woman at work who quietly ministered to my broken heart. I wanted healing from my brokenness and knew it would be impossible to do in my own strength. 

At 25 I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, and my life radically changed.

I was a new Christian when I became a first-time mom. The shock of early motherhood, along with the loneliness and isolation, was more acute than I expected. I was desperate to find comfort in God’s Word. But as a new Christian, I realized I had spent more time serving than reading Scripture. I didn’t know where to turn for comfort and refuge.

My debut book, Cradled by Grace, grew out of the question I was asking back then: Does God see me and know me?

I write about motherhood and family discipleship because I still have questions. I hope the answers I’m finding bring you comfort, too.
